Dear Friends,
INVITATION TO SEMINAR – The 1919 Race Riots in Wales
31st July 2019 – 10.00 – 2pm
Greetings to you. We cordially invite you to our lunch time event that will be held in The Main Hall, Pierhead, The National Assembly for Wales, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff, CF99 1NA.
This is beginning of our third Heritage Lottery Project. A nine-month project that examines the 1919 race riots but seeks to connect those events to the global situation in 1919. We believe it is impossible to understand the actions of the mob (especially demobilised and serving soldiers), the inaction of Government and the actions of the Press without looking at why The Allies were so afraid of Bolshevik Revolution and working people.
As always we try to present the material in our Projects in a way that can be utilised by others, especially education and therefore we will be using podcasts and other techniques, but our YouTube Channel is now on line so please look at it at
The Agenda is attached.
Please confirm if you are able to attend so that we can settle numbers.
