You are warmly invited to attend a free final First World War Partnership event at the Pierhead, Cardiff on 9 March 2020. Organisations and individuals who have worked on First World War Centenary projects in Wales, large or small, are very welcome to attend.
The aim of the event will be to:
- Discuss the centenary commemoration in Wales and share Lessons Learned
- Focus on its legacy and what the commemoration means for the future
- Provide an opportunity to hear about a range of key commemorative programmes / activities which will continue into the future
- Enable participants to learn more about the Cymru’n Cofio Wales Remembers 1914-1918 legacy arrangements, information and resources
- Continue to inspire partnership working beyond the Programme
Cymru’n Cofio Wales Remembers 1914-1918, led by the Welsh Government is hosting the day.

Event Schedule:
13:00 – 14:00 Arrival and registration, with lunch provided
14:00 – 14:15 Welcome and reflection on the commemoration by Prof Sir Deian Hopkin and Linda Tomos, the Welsh Government’s Expert Advisers on the Centenary of the First World War
14:15 – 15:15 ‘What happened during the commemoration and what next’. Speakers to be confirmed.
15:15 – 15:30 Tea and coffee
15:30 – 16:00 Open microphone session for Lessons Learned (5 minutes per person) led by Prof Sir Deian Hopkin and Linda Tomos
16:00 – 16:20 Legacy arrangements for the Cymru’n Cofio Wales Remembers 1914-1918 Programme
16:20 – 16:30 Closing remarks and thanks
